crinkle-taggie

Babies are in the air today.
We happened to have one visiting our home for the day and he inspired me to sew a simple project that I have done in the past.  Crinkle-taggies are cute, easy, and best of all machine washable.

1. Trace a small plate onto your fabric twice.
I used one of the boys old shirts for one side of the taggie and a camouflage bandana for the reverse.

2.  Now that you have your two fabric circles, find the crinkliest bag you can in your stash of plastic bags and cut an identical circle out of that.

3.  Pin ribbon pieces onto the right side of one of the fabric circles to form taggies...

4.  Now place the right side of the other fabric circle on top of the pinned piece.
On top of those, pin your crinkly circle.  Sew around the edge leaving a few inches open at the bottom to pull the taggie through.

5.  Pull the taggie through the opening right side out and then pin it closed .

6.  Sew around the entire edge to close the opening and finish it off nicely.

You can easily make these in minutes with old clothes and leftover ribbon.
Because they are small, they are also easy to hand sew.
