what to do when chapstick goes through the wash

a pile of clothes that fell victim...
you can't see it, but they have greasy spots all over.
what can be done?
sometimes nothing.
however, this time we are going to make the most of it.
a little bleach and water, a mixture of half and half.

roll the clothes up as if you are tye-dying them.

you can use marbles for a fun effect, however it wasn't worth the effort on this dress.
a darker color works better.

soak until you reach desired color.
rinse with water and wash with detergent.
another fun way to camouflage the stains is to "stencil" with bleach using different shapes.
this time I chose doilies.
spray until you see the shape and get the color you want.
rinse, and wash.

we did manage to salvage some of the clothes.
the boys pants turned too purple, so I will use those as scrap.
the rest are wearable again thanks to a bit of creativity.
